As Special as Can Be
As Special as Can Be is the first book in my 'As Special as Can Be' children's book series, now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble! It will soon be available as an eBook from various retailers. (Links to retailers below.)
As Special as Can Be is a love story written in rhyme. The characters are the parent/caregiver and the child reader themselves. My writing is inclusive and dedicated to diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging (DIEB). This story is relevant for all children, regardless of ethnicity or background, and for children raised by their biological parents, adoptive parents, in relative/caregiver placements, or for children in the foster care system.
Young children (ages 2-5) will love the rhymes and engaging illustrations. Older children (ages 6-12) will connect with the true meaning behind the fantasy, imagery, and symbolism in each verse of text.
This story represents each child’s countless special qualities and uniqueness, while highlighting the importance of values, differences, choices, and emotions. Above all, this book is meant to illustrate the love we all hold, as well as each person’s connectedness to humanity and the world. Join a snowflake on its journey of metamorphosis, meeting some fun friends along the way!
